Thanks. I'm glad to hear it's not self-serving. I've had more than a few people when I say "I don't read fic because I don't have the time to wade through what's good" give me a bit of shade about it like "just read fic and if you don't like it quit it" but it's still like...hours of time trying to search through all the fic and sort the tags and scan the 50 pages of options, etc. etc. and just like, if I have 20 minutes to read something I don't want to spend 15 minutes finding an option and then 5 minutes finding out I don't like it. It comes off as pretentious and self-centred, but honestly, I have a lot of things to fit into a limited amount of time and there are better ways I can spend it. Bottom line. Still, I *do* want to read fic, I just want other people to do all the work of finding it for me. Ask what I want, this is what I will tell you.
Yeah, we've had the conversation about operating in your rarepairs and small corners of the fandom multiple times and just...I don't mind listening to my own podfic (some podficcers LOATHE it), but it's always nice to have a fresh take on things. I know you know those feels like...I just want to consume the thing without doing the work sometimes. 100%. This is why I so deeply appreciate when others make fic/podfic for me like...it's just a breath of fresh air for me to sit back and just enjoy without having to put in all the time.
Re: no 3 isn't self serving at all
